Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mom. However, her parents did not let her perform until she was an adult due to the impact stress might affect their child. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. She began performing as a means to meet new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. After graduating Perry relocated to New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought the actress back to California and she was able to find acting work. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie alongside her in the year 2015. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father played her on her role on the ABC show Scandal. The actress also portrayed the older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong family connection to the character.
